sunday sakura

This week, the West half of Japan enjoys cherry blossoms. The photos have something familiar to me somehow. I love the cherry blossom trees on both side of the road.

Looking back. This road, called ‘Kaigundoro’ 海軍道路 is about 3km or so long and runs through some of the U.S. military property. Every spring during the sakura season this road is pretty much impossible to get through. Tons of cars and people.. it might take you an hour or so to get from one end to the other!
Unfortunately, it looks like this whole week will be cloudy, so not so many pictures better than this… too bad!

After the road takes a couple of quick turns, it straightens iut again but this time with double lanes. Again both sides lined with sakura cherry trees for more than 5km!
